Can I make changes to my benefits throughout the year?

Open Enrollment
The most important concept when it comes to the timing of selecting benefits is “open enrollment.” Open enrollment is an annual event where employees have a certain amount of time where they can add, change or waive benefits, including adding or removing dependents.
Life Changes
But, life doesn’t happen on an annual basis. You may get married, divorced, have a baby, have a change in your spouse’s employment status, etc. Certain events like these offers you the opportunity to change your benefits during the year. You have 30 days from the date of the event to contact the Human Resources. If you do not make changes within the 30 days you will have to wait until the next open enrollment period.
