It's time for a flu shot. Here is what you need to know.
September 10, 2024
Here’s a guide to getting yourself vaccinated against the flu.
When’s the best time to get the flu shot?
Flu season begins in September, but the CDC recommends getting a flu shot by the end of October.
Will the flu shot keep me from getting the flu?
No, no vaccine is 100% effective, but if you do get the flu, the vaccine is likely to reduce your chance of getting very sick. All flu vaccines for the 2024-2025 season will be trivalent vaccines, designed to protect against three different flu viruses, including two influenza A viruses and an influenza B/Victoria virus.
I don’t want to step foot in my doctor’s office to get a flu shot. Are there other alternatives?
Yes! Krapf is invested in the health of their employees and will be hosting a flu shot clinic on Friday, September 20th in West Chester and Friday, September 27th in Glenmoore. If you cannot make it out to one of those locations or do not currently have health insurance to cover the flu, Krapf will be providing flu shot vouchers to be used at any Walgreens location! If you are covered under another medical plan outside of Krapf bring your insurance card with you and Walgreens will submit it to your medical plan for you. Below you will find a link for each location so you can sign up for your flu shot!
